Black People Will Swim’s sole mission is plain and simple: it’s smashing the stereotype that Black people don’t swim. We aim to do this through a number of ways with our acronym F.A.C.E. encouraging our community to FACE their fears.
Black Lives Will Always Matter
Statement From Our Founder
At Black People Will Swim, our hearts are broken over the senseless killings of #GeorgeFloyd, #BreonnaTaylor, and #AhmaudArbery. As a community, we will no longer be silenced!
As a socially-focused organization whose mission is to help, motivate, educate, and protect Black people, Black People Will Swim has donated a portion of our proceeds from our Adidas x iFundwomen grant to Tamika Mallory's Until Freedom and the Black Visions Collective to aid protestors and those who are on the front lines fighting for equality and justice for our people.
Standing on the sidelines is no longer an option. This is a call-to-action. Here are a few ways you can join us in the fight against racism and for equality:
Protest and advocate for the lives of Black people
Support protestors and donate to bail funds and mission-based organizations like the ones mentioned above
Buy water, snacks or food for those who are on the front lines
Don't stay silent
Please be safe and stay encouraged! #BlackLivesMatter
